Cpl Ray L. Boyce enlisted on 8 June 1943 and went overseas April 27, 1944. He was already a veteran of the campaigns in Italy and Southern France.He was killed in action by small arms fire through his left eye.
He was initially buried in a temporary grave at Henri-Chapelle on 25 February 1945. He was disinterred on 24 November 1947 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 10 December 1947. He was given his final resting place on 28 August 1948.
