Pfc James H. Vrtatko enlisted on 20 March 1942 in Chicago, Illinois.The 326th surrendered the facility on 19 December 1944. Pfc Vrtatko was taken prisoner and transferred to Gerolstein Prison Camp. He contracted bronchial pneumonia and was transferred to Nettersheim, Germany.
