More information
Pvt Walter Nowick enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 20 May 1942. He was temporally interred at Ardennes because his family requested for him to be buried in Poland. Since negotiations with the Polish government were of no result and the program for the return of WW 2 dead expired on 31 December 1951, it was decided that the internment at Ardennes would be permanent.Source of information: Raf Dyckmans, Terry Hirsch, www.wwiimemorial.com, www.archives.gov, www.ww2-airborne.us, WWII Draft Card,
