Pvt Lewis T. Meshishnek enlisted in Spokane, Washington on 28 March 1942.

He was taken prisoner in the vicinity of St. Vith, Belgium on 21 December 1944 and died in of pneumonia, probably in the POW hospital of Hohenstein-Ernsthal. Official records show he was held prisoner at Stalag 4G.
