More information

1st Lt John A. Brennan Jr. graduated from Kingston High School. He was employed at the Red and White store.
His brother, Pfc Thomas Brennan, was killed at Leyte and is buried at Manila American Cemetery in the Philippines.
The said pilot was performing a photographic reconnaissance mission, covering Bomb Damage Assessments in Regensburg Area, Southern Germany; Strategic targets including active airdromes and marshaling yards in Northern Italy and Western Austria. The briefed mission covered ten distant and separate targets.

Radio Sector Controls as well as Air Sea Rescue were notified but reported no further radio contact other than from the initial pilot "Take Off" call was ever established. The pilot was going well out of their contact range. Since the pilot's failure to return it must be assumed that he is "Missing in Action".
