Pfc Alan W. Coggeshall Jr. was a textile factory worker.He enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 15 September 1943.
Pfc Coggeshall died from a head wound, caused by enemy mortar fire.
He was initially buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery of Pietramala, Italy. His family requested that he would be buried beside or as near as possible to his brother. He was given his final resting place on 22 September 1949.
His brother Clifford is buried at Plot L, Row 10, Grave 6.
