Pfc Julian Quintana enlisted in Santa Fe, New Mexico on 10 November 1942.He was awarded the Silver Star Medal postumously. The citation cited: In an assault on a fortified position, covered his wounded platoon leader with effective fire until evacuation could be accomplished. He was then, as a result of his bold action, mortally wounded.
