Pfc David R. Aldom graduated from Grover Cleveland High School (Caldwell, New Jersey) in 1943 and attended Dartmouth College.He enlisted on 6 December 1943 at Fort Dix, New Jersey. He was selected for the Army Specialized Training Program (A.S.T.P.) and studied engineering at Cornell University.
In the early 50's his parents visited his grave (last picture).
