T/5 Emmett H. Brown was a farmer.He enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 8 October 1942.
Mrs. Lilian Souren recalls the following: 'Emmett was stationed in the hamlet of Retersbeek / Klimmen in the Netherlands somewhere in the autumn of 1944. My mother, Mia Packbiers, was a girl of 15 years old then, when she met him. She remembered Emmett juggling with some oranges and mentioned his name lots of times to us her children, even in her old days.'
