Cpl Adolph L. Jaegle enlisted in Toledo, Ohio on 26 February 1943.

He had been an employe of the Great Atlantic and Pacific Tea Company, and was a graduate of St. Agnes and Central Catholic High Schools. He trained at Fort Knox, Kentucky and had been overseas since July 1944.
