Pvt Mike Philiposki was a driver before he enlisted in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 17 November 1942.

He was reported as missing in action on 6 March 1945 near the village of Schömerich, Germany. He was severely injured by shrapnel to the head that day died of his wounds in a German field hospital on 7 March 1945.

On one of the pictures, he poses as third from left, with his brother Joseph and his sisters Agnes and Leona.
