More information

Pfc Morey Moseson graduated from Jamaica High School where he was president of the Dramatic Club, a member of Arista and was active in the Broadcasting and Language Clubs. He was only 17 when he was enlisted into the Army Specialised Training Program. He attended the Union College and the Alfred University until the training program was abandoned.

He enlisted at Fort Dix, New Jersey on 15 May 1944 and had his basic training at Fort MacClellan, Alabama. In November 1944 he was sent overseas.

Once arrived in HQ company, one of his tasks was repairing communication lines. Also because of his knowledge of German, he had to assist in the interrogation of German prisoners.
