Pfc John C. Mortimer was married to Elizabeth P. Peacock on 2 May 1934.He was a graduate of the Aquinas Institute and worked for the Rochester Bank for 15 years before he enlisted on 8 December 1943 in Rochester, New York. He was sent overseas in September 1944.
