Capt Trumbull Frazer graduated from Yale University and attended Cornell University Medical College from 1938 to 1942. He was an interne at the Rhode Island Hospital, Providence in 1942, and a resident ophtalmologist at Massachusetts Eye and Ear Infirmary, Boston in 1943.He was commissioned a 1st Lt on 30 July 1943, promoted to Captain in May 1944 and stationed at Carlisle Barracks, Pennsylvania, from 30 July until 9 September 1943 and at Station Hospital, Biggs Field, Texas from September 1943 until March 1944, and from May until October 1944.
Capt Frazer attended School of Aviation Medicine at Randolph Field in March and April 1944. Next he was transferrred to the infantry and sent to Camp McCoy in October 1944. He arrived in England on 2 December 1944.
