Pfc Rex R. Wright enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 20 March 1943.

According to the morning report of 26 January 1945 of the 411th Infantry Regiment Pfc Rex R. Wright was reported MIA on 20 January 1945. According to a World War II Prisoners of War Data File, dated in July 1945, he died as prisoner of war somewhere in Germany.
