More information
1st Lt Frank N. Wright was a driver before he joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in New York City, New York on 20 February 1941.2nd Lt Hugh J. White:
“Lt Wright’s plane, #44-15441, was seen to crash at approximately 48.35N 12.24E of Landshut, Germany. It is believed that Lt Wright was attempting to execute a tight turn while in pursuit of an enemy aircraft. Lt Wright’s aircraft went into a spin, which he possibly could not control due to his low altitude at that time. His aircraft was not in flames, nor was smoke coming from his aircraft. This occurred at 1420 hours.”
