Pvt George I Scriber attended high school for two years and was a truck driver before he enlisted in Louisville, Kentucky on 11 July 1944.

He was killed by artillery shell fragments to the head.

He is remembered at the Nottawa Cemetery in Nottawa, St Joseph County, Michigan.
