More information

T/5 Albert M. Jackson attended high school for four years and was a driver before he volunteered for the Army of the United States in Camp Blanding, Florida on 19 March 1942.
Just east of Baudrecourt the resistance, both ground and artillery, was too heavy to move to a bridge site. While stopping at a certain point eight shells landed within five feet of Capt Wolfe and Lt Macklin of C Company, and Lt Bodell of 3rd Platoon. T/5 Jackson, the company commander's jeep driver was killed by these shells.
He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Limey, France.
