T/4 Frederick A. Englehutt enlisted in Boston, Massachusetts on 21 March 1942.According to the after action report personel losses consisted of one man killed in action by shell fragmentation in November 1944.
His brother Walter served in the U.S Navy and was killed in action on 11 September 1943 when the USS Rowan was torpedoed at Salerno, Italy. His remains were never recovered and he is remembered at the Tablets of the Missing at Sicily-Rome American Cemetery in Nettuno, Italy. He was officially declared dead one year and one day after he went missing in action.
