Pfc Francis I. Bottoroff was a mechanic and repairman of motor vehicles before he enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 1 April 1943.He was injured fatally in a boxing match when he was knocked out by a blow to the head in the second round of a tournament fight. He died later at a hospital.
