Pvt William F. Blaise attended high school for one year and was a driver before he enlisted in Utica, New York on 18 January 1944.

He was killed while firing on advancing German troops who were overrunning the positions of his squad.

He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Hochfelden, France.
