T/Sgt Theodore S. Benn was a chainman before he enlisted in Altoona, Pennsylvania on 11 July 1942.

He was reported seriously wounded in action on 4 December when the Cannon Company moved from Guensviller to Seingbouse, France.
He was wounded by artillery shell fragments in the kidneys and the duodenum.
