Pfc Francis E. Valentine enlisted in Fort George G Meade, Maryland on 6 April 1944.

Father of two small children, Pfc Valentine was employed at the Bethlehem Fairfield Ship Yards in Baltimore prior to his induction last year. He went overseas the later part of last November 1944 and was reported in combat two months.
