More information

2nd Lt Trevor A. Thomas attended college for one year and was a paymaster. He joined the Air Corps of the U.S. Army Reserve in Peoria, Illinois on 31 October 1942.

The airplane was shot down by enemy aircraft and exploded in mid-air.

Six crew members survived and were taken prisoner, five men were killed.

According to surviving crew members, Lt Trevor was wounded and did not have the time to bail out.

Note about the fact that his unit is only mentioned as 'Air Corps': This indication is copied from the records of ABMC. The MACR mentions that he was assigned to the 484th Bomber Group. It can be assumed that he was assigned to this crew, just for this mission only.
