Sgt Anthony J. Hascek was employed by the Watson Stillman Company.

He was married to Isabelle Philips in 1942.

He enlisted in Newark, New Jersey on 27 April 1943 and was sent overseas in October 1943.

He was reported wounded in action during the Italian Campaign. For this wound he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal the first time.
