Pfc George C. Doyle attended high school for four years and was a shipping and receiving clerk for the Leslie Company before he joined the Regular Army in Newark, New Jersey on 29 May 1943. He trained at Fort Knox, Kentucky.He was first buried at the Temporary American Military Cemetery in Saint-Juan, France.
