Richard B. Karr graduated from Deland High School in 1942 and was employed at Addressograph-Multi Corporation in Euclid, Ohio.He enlisted in Cleveland, Ohio on 22 February 1943.
Pvt Karr was shot down while parachuting into Holland and died of his wounds.
He was initially buried at Molenhoek Cemetery near Nijmegen, the Netherlands.
