Pvt Henry F. Peterson graduated from Bushwick High School and was employed by the Home Insurance Company.He enlisted in New York on 5 February 1943. For a time he studied at Georgetown University under the A.S.T.P. program, but was transferred to Camp Swift in March 1944. He was sent overseas in September 1944.
