Pvt Augustine L. Arellanes worked in the production on beverages before he enlisted in Los Angeles, California on 23 July 1942.

He was reported Missing in Action on 8 April 1945 and found dead two days later on 10 April 1945.

He was first buried in a temporary grave at Margraten on 5 May 1945. He was disinterred on 16 August 1948 and his remains were prepared and placed in a casket on 30 August 1948. He was given his final resting place on 14 December 1948.
