Pvt Robert A. Malvestuto attended Ponce de Leon High School.He enlisted in Camp Blanding, Florida on 10 March 1943. He was sent overseas in May 1943.
He was severely wounded in action on 19 August 1944 for which he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time.
His parents both emigrated from Italy.
