Pvt Harold Hendricks graduated from Ottawa Hills High School in 1941 where he was in the band and French Club.He attended college before he enlisted in Kalamazoo, Michigan on 16 February 1943.
He is remembered at Greenwood Cemetery in Petoskey, Michigan.
