1st Lt George H. Schildmiller Jr. attended college and was a salesman.He enlisted in Cincinnati, Ohio on 6 April 1942.
Lt Schildmiller joined the 329th from the 41st Replacement Battalion as a member of A Company on 1 August 1944 but he was reassigned to Battalion HQ the same day. After serving as S-2, he was reassigned to S-3 on 27 October 1944.
