T/4 Joseph A. Olson enlisted at Fort Sheridan, Illinois on 12 February 1942.

He worked on a farm before he enlisted.

“On 19 December 1944 at 1500 hours, one enemy plane dropped a HE bomb at the vicinity of A Co Cp. 2 Enlisted men were KIA and 2 WIA”.
