2nd Lt Robert S. Frost graduated from Lafayette High School in Buffalo, New York with the class of 1940.

He joined the National Guard in Buffalo, New York on 16 September 1940.

He had been wounded in France on 27 July 1944 for which he was awarded the Purple Heart Medal a first time. After recovering, he rejoined his unit.
