T/5 Angelo P. Marcaletti's parents and brother were emigrants from Italy.

He attended Tuscarawas Warwick High School and was employed at Bonvechio Coal Company as a coal miner.

He enlisted on 27 October 1942 and received training at Camp Atterbury, Indana and Camp Breckenridge, Kentucky. He was sent overseas on 9 April 1944.

T/5 Charles James Jr. and T/5 Angelo P. Marcaletti were killed when a land mine exploded under them while they were laying communication lines.
