T/5 Jerome R. Hermann enlisted on 24 February 1943 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. He was sent overseas in September 1944 as a member of a glider infantry regiment but was later transferred to the field artillery. On the picture he is wearing the patches of the glider infantry.
