Pfc Lester A. Eberhard graduated from Ponca City High School in 1942 and was employed by Sutton Electric company at the Boeing Aircraft plant in Wichita.

He enlisted in March 1943 and took his basic training at Fort Lewis, Washington.

Pfc Eberhard was accidently shot when he and others were examining a Browning automatic rifle.
